NEWS AND NOTES:

Thanks to all those who have been able to step-up and volunteer their time to help with mowing the church yard.  We are still in need of people to mow in September & October.

The church will be helping to prepare boxes of food at the Food Bank on Saturday, August 3rd from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.  Anyone that is able to help would be greatly appreciated!  Please see Lester Waldren if you have any questions.

Our annual Clothing Giveaway will be August 17th from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. There may be a small assortment of miscellaneous items such as toys, etc. at the Clothing Giveaway as well.  There may also be a Produce Giveaway at the same time if possible.

**The next Men’s Business Meeting is scheduled for August 11th @ 4:30 p.m.**

PANTRY ITEM:

Our pantry is very low, so if you can contribute it would be very appreciated. Our pantry item this week is MAC & CHEESE.

NEWS AND NOTES:

There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for mowing the church yard.  There is presently no one signed up through the rest of the year beginning the first week of August.  Please consider helping with this need if you are able to.

The church has been blessed to have been able to help several people with food from the pantry which has left it very low & in need of being filled up.  Pantry items for this week will be Soup & Crackers.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

There is now a TEEN BOYS’ Bible Study on Sunday Morning’s.  Mike Morgan will be teaching the first three weeks and we are still in need of more men to volunteer 

to teach for three weeks at a time.

There will be a Men’s Business Meeting today at 4:30 p.m.  All men are encouraged to 

attend if possible.

Our annual Clothing Giveaway will be August 17th from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. There may be a small assortment of miscellaneous items such as toys, etc. at the Clothing Giveaway as well.  There may also be a Produce Giveaway at the same time if possible.

Bethany & DJ Hatfield’s baby boy is due in August.  Anyone who would like to contribute to a gift card in their honor for baby necessities please see Patty Dupler.

Roy, Sierra, & Avalyn Storms have moved & are now home owners instead of renters.  If you would like to contribute to a gift card for a housewarming gift please see Patty Dupler.

Thanks to everyone who was able to help and/or participate in Vacation Bible School!!  We had 41 children here at the highest on Tuesday with a total of 62 which includes all the teachers and people helping!!

Tom would like to have a short follow-up meeting after morning services today to review how we think Vacation Bible School went, what things worked well & what things we might want to change before next year.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Vacation Bible School starts tomorrow!!

9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. It will run through Thursday & there are classes for Ages 2 years-Teens

Jason & Stajah would like to have another movie night for kids of all ages here at the church building on Friday, June 28th @ 7:00 p.m.

Our annual Clothing Giveaway will be August 17th from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.  There may also  be a Produce Giveaway at the same time if possible.

NEWS AND NOTES:

Due to Vacation Bible School the children will be with the adults in the auditorium for class on Wednesday night this week.

There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board for mowing the church yard as well as for snacks that will be provided to the children during Vacation Bible School.

Anyone interested in being available to provide an attended nursery during Vacation Bible School for children under 2 years old of age please see Tom Ogle.  The nursery would be for our members only who may be involved with Vacation Bible School.

The subscription to “Danielle’s Place” for bible class ideas & activities has been renewed & can be used by anyone in the congregation. Connie has that information available for members.
