NEWS AND NOTES:

Thanks to everyone who was able to help in any way with the clothing & produce giveaway whether it was helping to get things ready, bringing things in and/or helping the day of the giveaway.  It appears to have been our best turnout ever with us being able to help around 100 people with clothes, school supplies, toys & produce!!

Thanks also to everyone who was able to help with re-stocking the pantry!!

Jason & Stajah would like to have a Hot Dog Roast & devotional on Friday, August 30th starting at 6:00 p.m.  They want to start with eating & then have the devotional at 7:00 p.m.  After the devotional they invite everyone to stay around for more food, fellowship & possibly volleyball.  Everyone is encouraged to attend regardless of age.

The church will be helping to prepare boxes of food at the Food Bank on Saturday, September 7th from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.  Anyone that is able to help would be greatly appreciated!  Please see Lester Waldren if you have any questions.

Joshua Ball sent the congregation a letter requesting support for his new work.  The

 letter is on the bulletin board if anyone wishes to read it.

Jason & Stajah are developing a phone tree system & should have something to give to the congregation in a couple of weeks.

NEWS AND NOTES:

CLOTHING & PRODUCE GIVEAWAY THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 17TH FROM

8 A.M.-12 P.M.!!

There will also be a small assortment of miscellaneous items such as toys & housewares, and some school supplies that will be given out at this time. If anyone has any clothing, miscellaneous items, and/or school supplies that they would like to donate please bring them before Saturday so that there is time to sort & organize them.  We will also need volunteers to help with the Giveaway on Saturday.

**There will be a Men's Business Meeting today at 4:30. All Men are encouraged to attend if possible.**

ANNUAL GIVEAWAY AT SOUTH LOGAN CHURCH OF CHRIST!

We are doing our annual clothing giveaway August 17th from 8am-noon and we are in need of donations from whomever has items to give!

The community has expressed a need and interest in this already and especially seem to need items for school age children as another school year begins.

We will also have household items, toys, etc.

If people have produce to donate the community will appreciate that as well!

It was expressed that donations of school supplies would be a wonderful addition, as that is always a big help for the members of the community with needs. If anyone is interested in making these sorts of donations please call us at the church building phone number 740.385.7051.

NEWS AND NOTES:

Thanks to all those who have been able to step-up and volunteer their time to help with mowing the church yard.  We are still in need of people to mow in September & October.

Our annual Clothing Giveaway will be August 17th from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. There may be a small assortment of miscellaneous items such as toys, etc. at the Clothing Giveaway as well.  There may also be a Produce Giveaway at the same time if possible.  If anyone has any clothing or misc. items to donate please start bringing them in so there is time to sort them.

**The next Men’s Business Meeting is scheduled for August 11th @ 4:30 p.m.**
