NEWS AND NOTES:

There is a new sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for teaching the little ones in the children's church class. We need a teacher for each age group. Thank you to all of you who are so willing to help.

There has been a request to send cards to Jenny Hannan, 19 year old great niece of Dick Morgan, who recently had surgery to remove her small intestines from inside her large intestine. She has also had cystic fibrosis since birth so it was very dangerous to do surgery because of her limited breathing capacity.  She is now home but could use some cheering up and encouraging. Her address is:
Jenny Hannan
PO Box 2
Irondale, OH  43932

Stajah has volunteered to maintain the blog for the church and the Facebook page which you can see by clicking on the following link:

MORNING SERMON:
The Resurrection
Can the Bible be trusted?
 *Romans 1:4
 *1 Cor 15:12-19
Was the Resurrection False?
 *Arguments against the Resurrection
  1. Not resurrected but resuscitated
  2. He was drugged
  3. The body was stolen
It is a Fact!
*Christ died - no body, no autopsy
 *Christ was buried
 *Christ was raised
 *Christ was seen
*Arguing that Jesus did not rise from the dead would be a monumental task

EVENING:
Our 5th Sunday Evening worship service consisted of all elements of worship commanded by God in His word, but more songs were sung and the lesson was short. The lesson was a short devotional reminding us of what the Bible commands regarding singing in worship:
"...be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.."

Wednesday's Adult Bible Class will continue to study the first chapter of Luke. At the end of each chapter we will have a supporting question sheet to enrich our understanding of God's word.
